I grew up around the construction industry. My dad has always been involved in construction, both residential and commercial. His specialty is block and brick. He is also a finished carpenter, hardwood & ceramic tile installer and a licensed Home Inspector. My mother is a homemaker and one of the best cooks around. The greatest role I have is as a mother. I have an 18 year old son, Cory, who has developed into a very nice young man. This is the most rewarding job of all and probably the most challenging.

Work History
1982 to 1991 – AmSouth Bank (formerly First National Bank of Sullivan County and First Eastern Bank). I worked in Data Processing, Trust Services, Accounting and Word Processing.
1992 to 1995 – The Andersen Firm. I worked as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager. I was involved in the Corporate, Family and Real Estate areas.
1995 to Present – Development Resources Corporation. Office & Property Manager. This job helped me become interested in Real Estate. The Owner of the Company, Robert “Robin” W. Miller, Jr. is a Real Estate Developer. He was one of the Developers of Willowbrook and Huntington Woods Subdivisions, and property in Gate City, Virginia. He also developed the property on Short Ridge Place called “The Gables”. Due to these developments, I have been exposed to the development and construction phases of real estate and property management. I work with builders, lenders and tenants, keeping up with the loan process during construction, collecting rents and preparing leases for tenants.
2001 to Present - In 2001, I obtained my Real Estate license and worked for DRC Real Estate, which was under the umbrella of Development Resources Corporation. In 2003, DRC Real Estate merged with Town & Country Realty.
Real Estate is very exciting and rewarding. I have been able to incorporate all of my past experiences into this field. Whether working with Buyers or Sellers, I am better able to help them understand the process of the transaction. Not only do I get to work with wonderful clients, but with various lenders, attorneys and title companies in the Tri-Cities area. Getting to know my clients and being able to share in their experiences of finding the right home, or selling their home is great. However, it takes more than one person to close a transaction, so I am grateful for all of the effort everyone contributes and all of the hard work that makes dreams become realities. This is more than a job to me. Being able to help others is a life changing experience.
